Why this couples shoot was special!

Last Saturday, I joined Dougie and Georgia at a local woodland on the outskirts of Cheltenham to take some photos for their couples’ shoot. As I’m predominantly a family photographer, it was a lovely opportunity for me to do something a little different and we had a great time!

Although they’re now based in the UK, they lived in Canada for a few years so the woodland setting was perfect - Cheltenham’s answer to British Columbia! As ever, this photo shoot was about creating some lasting memories as well as lasting photographs and it was so lovely to see this couple utterly comfortable with each other, as well as in this beautiful place.

And there was one extra special thing about this photo shoot…Dougie is my cousin! We hadn’t actually seen in other in over seven years, so it was an extra special experience for me to not take some photographs for him but to also see him so happy with Georgia and to catch up after so long. And I couldn’t help but dig through the family photo albums to find this little beauty - true children of the 90s! Check out that crimped hair and my favourite Tammy Girl hat (modelled beautifully by Dougie, who is scratching his lip, just to be clear!)
