I absolutely love a newborn photo shoot with siblings in the mix as well:
The quiet moments with just baby and mum or Dad; the magical moments when siblings show just how much they love their new baby; the playful moments full of chatter fun and energy.
I want to share some photos from a recent photo shoot I did with a lovely family in their home here in The Cotswolds.
What does a newborn photo shoot with siblings look like?
I will always look for that moment of connection between the new baby and their sibling. Some times that could be a proper, full-on cuddle…
Sometimes that could just be through a look or a touch…
And of course, a sibling photo with all the children - not always possible but something I will always try. I’m a mum of 3 so I know how much that group photo means!
And as well as photographing the newborn baby - all those natural shots of them asleep or awake; in your arms or lying on the bed; little toes, hands and eye lashes - I will always take time to photograph your other children on their own…
…and the older siblings together…
So yes, newborn photo shoots with older siblings aren’t always as quiet and peaceful as a newborn photo shoot when it’s just a baby on their own. But my photos will capture the beautiful reality of family life: the fun, the energy, the quiet, the wildness, the tenderness, the giggles and the LOVE.
