Something simple to do with the kids on a rainy day!

I absolutely love living in Cheltenham, on the edge of The Cotswolds. There are so many beautiful walks and places to go.

But what about on those drizzly, rainy days? What to do with the kids then?

Well, if Lockdown and this crazy year has taught me one thing, it’s that it’s ok to keep things simple. Even the most basic activity can fill some time and encourage independence as well!

So, last weekend, we made jelly!

My 7 year old did everything - cut up the jelly cubes, added the liquid (with supervision!) and filled the containers by himself.

We used these reusable ice pop bags by the fabulous Nom Nom kids as it made them into perfecly sized individual portions (the older ones ate them straight from the pouch, and for the littlest I just squeezed it in the bowl) and, quite frankly, it filled a bit more time!

Sometimes, the simple things are the best!

We’ve used the Nom Nom Reusables for ice pops before but this was our first time trying jelly - worked perfectly!
