This pretty much sums it up for me. As a photographer, it is my job to give you photos which capture the love, the soul and the uniqueness of your family.

And being able to do that comes down to a combination of planning and spontaneity.

From the moment you book me as your family photographer, I start planning how to tailor your photo-shoot to your family. I’ll ask you to complete a questionnaire so I can get to know you: your personalities, your interests, what makes your children tick. That way I can choose the right location here in The Cotswolds and I can plan the style of photos which will not only help everyone feel comfortable, but which will bring out the true spirit of your family.

Don’t be surprised if I pull out a list during our photo-shoot - I love nothing more than a colour-coded list! I want to make sure that your gallery includes all those keys shots that I’ve planned. I will always try and get a photo of each child individually; and I will always try and get the photo you want to be able to send to the Grandparents for the mantelpiece.

One of the reasons I love being a family photographer and one of the reasons you choose to hire a professional is the creativity I can bring to a photo-shoot. Being able to see a moment and create something beautiful from it is what I do and what makes every photo-shoot unique.

So if you hire me to take your family photos, I will give you plenty of guidance and direction, but I will also give you the space to just be you and let the magic happen.
