Socially Distanced Photo Shoots
I’m so excited to announce that Claire Westaway Photography is re-opening for socially distanced photo shoots in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and The Cotswolds from July!
But what does that mean?
It means that there will have to be some changes to the way I work. But, I have total confidence that I can still provide you with beautiful photographs and a great family experience, whilst maintaining a safe environment for you all.
So what will that look like?
Well, there are a number of different options to consider…
Where there’s a Window, there’s a way
I’ve always loved photographing through windows - it adds depth to a photograph with the reflections and natural framing with the windows themselves, as well as giving the feeling of looking in on your own little world inside the house.
Since lockdown, it’s also been the perfect way to capture photos of families in their homes - somewhere which has become so much more important in recent months.
This is a great option if you’ve recently had a baby or will be in the next few months or so.
Not ‘In-Home’ but ‘At-Home’
If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know that I love ‘In-Home’ photography but while that is not possible, ‘At-Home’ photography is an option. Your garden is just as much a part of your home as the inside and is an ideal setting for newborn photography; and if, like me, you’ve utilised every inch of your space at home during lock-down, wouldn’t it be lovely to capture some natural photographs there?

Outdoor photo shoots have always been part of my portfolio and I just love them. With the beautiful countryside on offer in The Cotswolds, Gloucestershire and beyond, we are sure to capture some stunning images for you and your family.
Keeping you and your family safe
My priority is to keep you and your family safe. Therefore I am following advice and taking these extra precautions:
I will of course wash my hands before and after the shoot. If outdoors, I will use hand sanitiser prior to your arrival. Hand sanitising gel will be available for you to use too, however feel free to bring your own. I kindly ask that all customers use this before, during and after our photo-shoot.
I will ensure that my camera and bags are cleaned with antibacterial cleaner before and after each shoot. Any blankets which are used will be washed between shoots.
I will keep 2m social distance from you and your family. I have a number of lenses to assist with this. I will also have to avoid adjusting clothes & hair, assisting posing, wrapping babies and helping with your little children. I will ask you to help pose the members of your family and will try my best to provide clear instructions from 2m away.
So much of what makes my photo shoots work is being able to communicate and engage properly with you and your children - for that reason, I won’t plan on wearing a mask but please feel free to talk to me about this prior the shoot.
