Christmas in Charlton Kings: a film.

Christmas 2020 is like no other.

Traditions, time with family and the usual celebrations have all had to be put on hold. In many ways, it feels like Christmas has been cancelled.

And yet, that is actually so far from the truth.

With my own photography work put on hold because of Covid-19, I decided to make a film about Christmas in my village on the outskirts of Cheltenham. And what I saw, and hopefully captured in my film, was exactly what Christmas is all about: community, people coming together to support each other, love and festive spirit in bucketloads.

Yes this Christmas is going to be like no other, but I promise, it’s still there.

The Christmas story is ultimately one of hope, and it is my wish that this film can give you a little bit of that. So I hope you enjoy it.
