Before Lockdown, I had the pleasure of photographing a lovely family with their new baby nearby in Gloucestershire.

Photographing a newborn, whether it be in their first few days or their first few months, is an absolute joy - genuinely. It makes me so happy to be able to give beautiful photographs to families who are still in that hazy, sleep-deprived newborn bubble. Because as much as we think we will remember all those new moments, they are easy to slip from our memories. Whereas photographs last a lifetime.

In these challenging times where loved ones are separated and Lockdowns prevent us from being with the people we love, photographs and films are so much more important.

So, I made a short film while I was with the family as well. A film they could send to the Grandparents who have never met their Grandson; a film they could share with the friends and family who are desperate for cuddles but have to keep their distance; a film which captures all those little newborn wriggles, hints of smiles and snuggles with their mummy.
