What does an outdoor family photo-shoot with Claire Westaway Photography look like?
I absolutely love running outdoor family photo shoots in different locations in the beautiful Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and Cotswolds countryside.
I myself live locally in Cheltenham and, as a mum of 3 boys who enjoy being outdoors, I spend a lot of my own time out and about in stunning locations so I love using them for my family photo-shoots.
With this blog post, I want to help you understand what an outdoor family photo-shoot with me would look like so read on and enjoy the images from this session at crickley Hill, Cheltenham!
Family photo-shoots with me are FUN!
If your children love to run and play games and generally burn energy then I have got you covered! If children are relaxed and feel like the photo-shoot is just one big game then not only are they on board with what we’re doing but we also get those proper, genuine smiles!
Family photo-shoots with me are personalised to your children
I spend time getting to know you and your children before and during the session. And as a mum, and having been a teacher for 10 years, I’m pretty good at reading how children are feeling and what they feel comfortable with. So, if your child loves to be active and play games, we’ll do that; but if they prefer quieter activities and cuddles then that’s the plan!
Family photo-shoots with me are about quality time together
Life is busy. Work, school, friends - it can be hard to find time to just be together. But that’s exactly what you get from a family photo-shoot with me. Yes we’re there to take photos but you’re also there together with no other distractions and nothing else to do but just enjoy each other’s company and make memories. I promise you, when you leave, you’ll feel more connected and then you’ll have the photos to bring back those happy memories too!
Family photo-shoots with me are about documenting your story
How often do you find that you’re the one behind the camera? And that when you look through your phone to find a photo of you with your children, there are literally none. Of if there is one, it’s a slightly blurry selfie?
How often do you look at your children and notice a little expression or a certain smile and wish you could freeze time; to remember it forever before they change and grow a little more again?
